The Ministry of Energy is the central government authority responsible for managing and developing Syria’s energy sectors, including electricity, oil and gas, renewable energy, and water resources. The ministry was established in 2025 as part of a restructuring of government institutions, merging the former ministries responsible for electricity, oil and mineral resources, and water resources into a single ministry.
